SIBEIHO X KASAMA FARMS X GROWING GARDENS
Healthy, wholesome food access is close to our hearts. It was disturbing to learn during Covid because of school closures, children and their families had food security issues. Because we love cooking what is seasonal, we have notice that not a lot of the vegetables we grew up eating is readily available. We also know that it is hard for new farmers, especially BIPOC ones to start farms and make a sustainable living. To address all three issues, we have partnered with Kasama Farms and Growing Gardens to create a Maker X Farmer X Community initiative that we hope you will support.
This coming farming season, please think about opening your hearts to do good not just for your health but also for another family in need.
Our idea is simple: for every CSA box you purchase, one other will be donated to a family in need.
Creating vegetable diversity is a planting project we are working with Kasama Farms this year. Hopefully our wish lists for vegetables will grow well here in the Pacific NW. In this tri-party CSA box, we will be including Sibeiho Recipes, Sibeiho pantry staples like our sambals and limited edition products that we will make as the season progresses.

Kasama Farm is a queer, Pilipinx-American led land, healing, and love project on Wasco and Wishram land in Hood River County, Oregon.
The two farmers, Leilani and Jihelah aim to create a space where queer, trans, BIPOC people can find nourishment and show up in their wholeness. They envision an intergenerational space to reclaim cultural relationships our ancestors had with plants and plant medicines. The farm aims to create a healthy social environment that is energizing to the soul and honors ritual, creativity and joy. Ultimately, this farm is possible because it is community-based and community-supported project.
Growing Gardens uses the experience of growing food in schools, backyards and correctional facilities to cultivate healthy and equitable communities.
