Sibeiho X Chelo is delighted to continue our Singaporean X Mexican collaboration with a Baker’s Box celebrating our maternal influences just in time for Mother’s Day.
For the next two Saturdays, 7th May & 14th May, we will have our Baker’s Box available for pick up at the store.
This bake box will include:
Pandan Tres Leche
Decandently delicious sponge cake. So named because of the three types of milk that uses. We’ve taken a spin on this classic Mexican cake with an infusion of delicate Pandan, aka South East Asian’s vanilla.
Red Velvet Concha with Pandan filling
Concha is a traditional Mexican sweet bread and gets it’s name from looking like a shell Ours is 100% naturally colored. We are taking it to the next level with pandan infused Chantilly cream.
Kueh Binka Ubi
Wheat flour wasn’t readily available in the old days in South East Asia. A lot of our desserts and snacks were made using rice and local root vegetables like tapioca. This baked tapioca cake is especially luscious with its coconut milk.
OMG! Sambal Shortbread
This savory shortbread came about us having fun in our kitchen studio during the pandemic. We make it on a rotational basis for special occasions. Buttery and melt in the mouth with a slight spicy umami kick.
Luna and I will be having some fun in the kitchen this week with this Kueh surprise!
