Sebastiano's, a Sicilian deli in Portland's Montavilla. We got to know Elise and Dan at one of the pop up markets. Elise was super kind to share her yummy Sicilian treats with me plus learn about their amazing EVOO. Their's is made with first-pressed, cold-pressed, extra virgin olive oil produced from organically grown Sicilian Castelvetrano olives - the big green buttery ones. It has a very clean flavor with hints of lemon, a big, rounded mouthfeel, and slight spicy finish. I love it with salads, dipped bread it in and as a finishing for some of the noodle dishes we make.
